Sikh Delegation expresses gratitude to PM Modi after meeting him

New Delhi, Apr 30 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a Sikh delegation at his residence in Delhi on April 29. After meeting, members of delegation expressed their gratitude to PM for the work done by his government to safeguard the interests of Sikhs. Sony Pictures Networks India Chief Executive Officer NP Singh expressed his gratitude to PM Modi for having inspired them to contribute to the nation-building. NP Singh said, “I thank the Prime Minister for organising the event. Sikhs came from across the world. Meeting the PM had been an inspirational experience, and the community would continue its service for nation-building like it always had.” Social leader Peter Virdee recalled the 1984 anti-Sikh riots and said that PM Modi has provided justice to the victims’ families after 30 years. Virdee said, “I was shocked with amount of contribution that Modi Sahab has done for Sikhs. 1984 is a sensitive issue for NRI Sikhs, PM Modi has provided justice for families after 30 yrs. It’s an honour to be here.” President of Punjab Sahitya Academy Dr Sarabjit Kaur said that the Sikh community liked the things the Prime Minister has done for them. “The Sikhs liked the things that PM Modi has done for the community, especially the Kartarpur Sahib corridor and the event organised at the Red Fort on the Parkash Purab of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji,” she said.
