Space Centre in Jammu to be named after Former ISRO Chairman Satish Dhawan

Jammu, Mar 12 (ANI): Minister of State for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh on March 11 informed that Space Centre in Jammu will be named after Former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman Satish Dhawan. He also added that he was the real pride of Dogra community. “Prime Minister Modi unlocked Space sector and scope for private players was created. We have established space-tech centres in other parts of the country. Vice-Chancellor (VC) has approved to keep the name of the space centre in Jammu on Satish Dhawan. He was from Jammu and was a real Dogra pride,” he added.
