CM Gehlot lays foundation stone of IPD Tower, Institute of Cardiovascular Science at SMS Hospital

Jaipur (Rajasthan) April 6 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of IPD Tower and Institute of Cardiovascular Science, which is to be built at a cost of Rs 588 crore on the premises of Sawai Man Singh Hospital. This is the first tower of its kind in the country that will have ultramodern facilities. The number of outdoor patients in SMS Hospital is around 15,000 per day. In such a situation, after the tower is built, the patients coming to SMS Hospital will get relief and they will get all facilities in one building. The tower with a height of 116-metre will also have a helipad and there will be an additional facility of 1,200 beds with the construction of the tower. On this occasion, Chief Minister Gehlot said that the State Government is working with full commitment to strengthen the infrastructure of health services in the State. The CM expressed that the objective of the State Government is to carry the health services up to every village and hamlet. He also said that the State Government will provide the Right to Health to all the people of the State by bringing a law in this regard soon. During the event, the Chief Minister also visited the two-day exhibition organised by the Health Department and dedicated 7 Chiranjeevi Mamta Express Ambulances to the public and also flagged off a bus carrying children for the treatment of heart-related diseases to Shri Satya Sai Heart Hospital, Ahmedabad.
