Strict actions against those making e- commerce a means for multi-brand retail: Piyush Goyal

Mumbai, Oct 18 (ANI): Union Minister of Railways, Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal on October 17 said that central government has made clear guidelines for e- commerce and strict action will be taken against anyone who makes it a means for multi – brand retail. "They have not been given permission of selling products at cheaper rates and resulting in retail sector to incur losses. I have come across some complaints recently and Commerce Ministry has sent questionnaires seeking detailed information, said Piyush Goyal. "E-commerce companies have no right to offer discount or sell products at predatory prices and we will take strict action against, if there is violation of any law in letter or in spirit," he further added.
