Sweden’s king was impressed with Ganga Mission: NMCG official

New Delhi, Dec 14 (ANI): Sweden’s king & queen visited Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Haridwar earlier this month. 14 MLD STP constructed under Namami Gange Programme was inaugurated in their presence. It is first STP to be completed under Hybrid Annuity Based Public Private Partnership Model. NMCG officials say the king & queen were impressed with the clean Ganga initiatives. National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) is involved in cleaning and rejuvenating the Ganga. Its primary objective is to ensure an environmentally sustainable development. While, a wide array of projects have been accomplished under ‘Namami Gange’ mission. A lot of projects are in pipeline to ensure a further improvement in quality of Ganga water.
