Symptoms milder, ICU admission not required as of now, says Senior Consultant, Venkateshwar Hospital

New Delhi, Jan 05 (ANI): In view of rising COVID-19 cases across the country, Senior Consultant of Internal Medicine, Venkateshwar Hospital, Dr Ashish Khattar said that in the current scenario, ICU admission is not required for COVID-19 patients as of now as symptoms are milder this time. However, he also mentioned that since the virus has high mutation rate, illness could become severe in no time. “We need to be vigilant, wear double masks and maintain social distancing. People must not go to crowded places unless it is an emergency,” said Dr Khattar.
