Telangana Government increased pension for widows, specially-abled persons

Hyderabad (Telangana), Oct 16 (ANI): Telangana Government is running multiple welfare schemes in the state. Telangana Government Welfare Scheme has been providing pensions to old people, and widows. Patients suffering from elephantiasis, AIDS, specially-abled persons, and single women are also getting the benefit. The state government has increased the pension which is being given to the elderly, widows, AIDS patients, handloom workers, and toddy tappers from Rs 200 to Rs 2,016 per month; the pension for differently-abled was increased from Rs 500 to Rs 3,016 per month; pension to single women, Beedi workers, and filarial patients has been increased to Rs 2,016 per month.
