Telangana Govt sanctions Rs 23,000 to each temple for Bonalu festival

Hyderabad, Oct 14 (ANI): As per the instructions given by the state government, funds are being sanctioned for temples maintained by non-government temple committees. “Earlier, many temple committees used to depend on donations ahead of Bonalu for taking up paintings, renovation, illumination, etc., from the last few years Telangana government is giving Rs 23,000 for each temple at the time of Bonalu festival. However, with the State government sanctioning funds, elaborate arrangements are being made without any difficulty.” Narsing Rao, Temple Priest said, “I am working for this temple for almost 50 years. This temple is 100 years old temple, every year we celebrate the Bonalu festival in a grand way, this time for Bonalu festival, government sanctioned 23,000 rupees for the temple development. I thank the Telangana Government for sanctioning money for the temple development.” Temple Treasurer Raju, while talking to ANI said, “It’s a 100-year-old temple. Devotees who come here from far places to take blessing from the goddess, from the last five years Telangana government is giving 23,000 rupees for temple renovation at the time of Bonalu festival. Like every year, we have received 25,000 rupees for renovation works. I thank the Telangana government, KCR sir for sanctioning money for the temple renovation.”
