Tanzania returnee tests positive for COVID-19, officials suspect Omicron variant case

Mumbai, Dec 05 (ANI): A man who came from Tanzania has tested positive for COVID-19 in Dharavi, officials informed on December 05 adding that the case is suspected to be Omicron variant. Addressing a press conference on Dec 05 in Mumbai, Mayor Kishori Pednekar said, “His sample has been sent for genome sequencing. He is currently admitted to a hospital. His close contacts are being investigated. People need not to worry. I feel there are no cases of Omicron in Mumbai.”
