Churachandpur (Manipur), 27 May (ANI): Meet Anish Ahamad, a silent guardian of the environment from Bualjang Hills of Manipur, whose passion for conservation has been growing for nearly 30 years. Inspired by a love for nature since childhood, he has single-handedly planted over 100,000 trees and shared more than 40,000 saplings with others — all at no cost. Anish’s journey is a testament to how one person’s dedication can nurture a greener tomorrow.Anish runs a nursery at home, collecting seeds and nurturing saplings at his own expense, without a greenhouse or water tank. His spirit remains unshaken. From hilltops to schools, parks, and roadsides, he spreads greenery wherever he can.Anish also teaches children and villagers how to plant trees and raises awareness about the dangers of deforestation. Manipur’s rich ecology, with its lush forests, diverse wildlife, and unique landscapes, is a true ecological gem of Northeast India.Inspired by the vision of a “Green Earth for a Better Tomorrow,” Anish Ahamad has dedicated nearly 30 years to environmental conservation.
