Tomato prices soar in southern states due to incessant rains

Chennai, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Dec 07 (ANI): Tomato prices in southern states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala were soaring due to heavy rainfall. Whole sale price of tomatoes reached Rs 120 per kg in Chala market of Thiruvananthapuram. While in Chennai, price of tomatoes reached Rs 80-90 per kg. Prices of many other vegetables have also continued to go up.
