Tripura CM Manik Saha attends ‘Charak Mela’ celebration in Gomati

Gomati (Tripura), May 14 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended ‘Charak Mela’ and ‘Gajan Utsav 2023’ in the Gomati district on May 14. Finance and IT Minister, Pranajit Singha Roy and other dignitaries were also present at the event. The religious program was organised by the Kakraban RD block and Charak Mela Committee. The fair goes on for a couple of days in which thousands of people from the surrounding areas gather every year. Adressing the people, he said, “Tripura itself has lots of thing that it is not less than any other states in any field. Be it tourism, agriculture, pilgrim sites and others, we were not that much of aware of these. After this government came into power, we discovered and gave importance to these things. Apart from this, the government has always supported this kind of small or big events. Our government is trying not to lose this heritage at any cost. We are trying to preserve the culture and heritage of the state. We get to see Unity in diversity and vice-versa at such events.”
