Tripura CM Manik Saha attends observation of World Thalassemia Day in Agartala

Agartala (Tripura), May 08 (ANI): Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha on May 08 participated in observation of World Thalassemia Day organised by Indian Academy of Pediatrics in Agartala. It was organised to create awareness to prevent diseases like Thalassemia. Tripura Govt is planning to make it mandatory to ensure early screening for diseases like Thalassemia, hemophilia. “People struggling with blood disorders need to be supported. The state government is worried about thalassemia disease. Thalassemia is a blood-related disease. This disease spreads through generations. Awareness is needed on how to prevent it. The government is also planning to make it mandatory to ensure early screening for diseases like Thalassemia, hemophilia deceases”, he said adding that awareness is needed on how to prevent thalassemia disease. CM Dr Saha also said that if the government can control viruses like COVID because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi then controlling Thalassemia diseases wouldn’t be a big issue.
