Tripura Empowers Rural Women Through Samriddhi 2.0

Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Tripura is empowering rural women through the Samriddhi 2.0 campaign. Implemented by the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), the initiative is strengthening Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by providing enhanced financial assistance, skill development and greater access to credit. Building on the success of Samriddhi 1.0, the state government launched Samriddhi 2.0 with a target of providing ₹150 crore in loans to Self-Help Groups and the private sector. Surpassing expectations, SHGs received loans worth over ₹269 crore, while the private sector received ₹20.58 crore, reflecting the programme's remarkable success.With financial support and capacity-building initiatives, women across rural Tripura are becoming more self-reliant, creating sustainable livelihoods and contributing to stronger local economies. Samriddhi 2.0 stands as a significant step towards inclusive growth, women-led development and rural prosperity in Tripura.
