“UCC will be implemented in Maharashtra…” CM Devendra Fadnavis speaks after Amit Shah’s Remark

Mumbai (Maharashtra), September 14 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke on the Uniform Civil Code, the BRICS Summit and Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on the event. Fadnavis said Maharashtra has already formed a committee to draft the UCC and expressed confidence that it will be implemented after the committee submits its report. On BRICS, Fadnavis said the Delhi Declaration was the biggest success of the summit and described its unanimous adoption as a major diplomatic and strategic victory for India. Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s remarks focusing on food and cultural programmes at the summit, Fadnavis said such issues should not overshadow the diplomatic significance of the BRICS meeting.
