UFBU’s nationwide bank strike enters Day 2

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) / Siliguri (West Bengal), Feb 01 (ANI): A nationwide two-day bank strike called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has entered its concluding day on February 01. Bank employees participated in the strike in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar. They took the step seeking early wage revision settlement and other demands.“We are demanding of wage revision settlement because it’s been three years our salaries have not been hiked. As per our demands, we are boycotting National Pension Scheme, bank merging and want a 5-day working week for bank employees,” one of the protestors told ANI. UFBU had called the 2-day bank strike on January 31.
