Oct 27, 2026
London, UK, 27 October, 2026 - The United Kashmir People’s National Party recently organised its 6th International Kashmir Conference at the British Parliament in London, highlighting alleged human rights violations and the humanitarian situation in Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir, particularly Rawalakot. The conference brought together British MPs, human rights activists, political representatives and civil society members. The participants discussed allegations of civilian killings, enforced disappearances, arbitrary arrests, communication restrictions and the use of anti-terrorism laws in PoJK since June 5, 2026. The organisers alleged that more than 100 civilians had been killed, while hundreds were missing or detained and thousands faced criminal cases. The conference called for independent investigations, accountability, the release of individuals detained for peacefully exercising their rights, and diplomatic intervention by the British government, the UN and international human rights organisations. It also stressed peaceful dialogue, democratic freedoms and justice for the people of the region.
