Unnao Rape Case: Former IPS officer Kiren Bedi hails Supreme Court’s verdict in favour of victm

New Delhi, December 29, 2025: (ANI): On SC staying Delhi HC's decision allowing suspension of Kuldeep Sengar's life sentence in Unnao rape case, former IPS officer Kiran Bedi said, "The Supreme Court has stepped in perfectly in time before things go out of control. The manner in which the case unfolded, the manner in which the suspension of Sengar's life imprisonment was suspended and for the reasons in which it was, I think we’re very strange. They were absolutely shocking...We very grateful to the Supreme Court that they took into account the public outcry and also the illegalities committed in the whole judgment."
