Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh), September 30, 2026 (ANI): US Congressman James Gallagher, a visiting Dharamsala, said the delegation’s visit to India was aimed at visiting different parts of the country and understanding its people and culture. Speaking to reporters in Dharamsala, Gallagher said the delegation was excited to visit the region and meet the Dalai Lama. “This is a delegation from the US government, from the Congress, to India. So we wanted to visit some different parts, and this was one of the places that we decided to come,” Gallagher said. Describing Dharamsala as an “interesting part of the world” with “great people”, Gallagher said he was very excited about the visit and meeting the Dalai Lama.
