Uttarakhand Moves Ahead with Modern Infrastructure and Seamless Connectivity
Aug 13, 2026
Uttarakhand is witnessing a new phase of development with expansion in road, rail, energy, air and digital connectivity. The ₹11,700-crore Char Dham All Weather Road project, highway widening, new bypasses, tunnels and bridges are improving access to remote areas. The Delhi–Dehradun Economic Corridor, developed at a cost of around ₹12,000 crores, is strengthening modern connectivity and reducing travel time. Air connectivity has also expanded, with heliports increasing from 2 to 7 and helipads from 60 to 118. Wider internet access and digital services are creating new opportunities for employment and growth. Improved connectivity is enabling young people to pursue better opportunities within the state. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s leadership, Uttarakhand is moving towards a more connected, modern and progressive future.
