Aug 13, 2026

Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand’s healthcare system is steadily strengthening. Under the Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana, more than 62 lakh Ayushman cards are providing citizens access to cashless treatment. Healthcare infrastructure has expanded with the AIIMS Satellite Centre in Udham Singh Nagar, new medical colleges, PHCs and CHCs. Three new medical colleges have added 650 MBBS seats, strengthening the state’s medical workforce. Telemedicine and mobile health units are taking doctors and essential healthcare services closer to remote villages, while faster emergency response and air ambulance services are ensuring timely treatment for those in need. With accessible and improved healthcare services, a new Uttarakhand is moving steadily towards a healthier future.
