Vande Bharat Mission: Air India Express flight carrying 177 passengers arrives in Amritsar from Dubai

Amritsar (Punjab), May 14 (ANI): Air India Express special flight landed at Sri Guru Ramdass Jee International Airport in Punjab’s Amritsar. The flight carried 177 passengers from Dubai. The stranded Indian nationals across the globe are being brought back to their home country under Centre’s Vande Bharat Mission. The buses for all the passengers have been arranged by the state government. While speaking to ANI, the Airport Director of Amritsar International Airport, Manoj Chansoria said, “This flight came from Dubai carrying around 177 passengers. This is flight of Air India express and we are following all the rules and regulations given by government, be it social distancing, sanitization etc.” There are total 1914 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Punjab. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 47,480 with 2415 deaths in India.
