Villagers forced to drink contaminated water due to scarcity in Maharashtra’s Amravati

Amravati (Maharashtra), Jun 10 (ANI): People in Amravati’s Melghat, who have been facing severe water crisis, are forced to go as deep as 40 feet inside wells to fetch drinking water. The ground water level has been gradually declining. People have no other option but to consume muddy and contaminated water. While speaking to ANI, one of the villagers said, “Water problem in Melghat are very serious. Women’s waste their half of the day in struggling of water. Water in hand pumps and wells are gradually declining.”
