Water level of J&K rivers rises, admin on high alert

Rajouri/Ramban/Reasi (J&K), July 28 (ANI): Water level of rivers in several districts of Jammu and Kashmir has risen. Water level of all rivers in Rajouri district has risen to dangerous levels due to heavy rainfall. “The flow of water here is very high. There is a lot of danger here. We're trying to help a family stuck here,” said ASI Muzamal Hussain, SDRF. Meanwhile, Ramban district administration is on high alert as water level of Chenab River rose due to heavy rainfall. “We receive updates from Baglihar warning people to not go near river banks, especially in low-lying areas. Wet spells likely to continue next 2 days,” said Mussarat-Ul Islam, DC. District administration of Reasi has also issued advisory to locals to avoid visiting the areas near Chenab River as water is flowing near danger mark.
