We are withdrawing 'draft' prepared for amendments to Forest Act: Prakash Javadekar

New Delhi, Nov 15 (ANI): Union Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change Minister, Prakash Javadekar said that the government is withdrawing the 'draft' prepared for amendments to the Indian Forest Act, 1927. He said, “Modi government for the last 5 years has always worked in the interest of tribals and forest dwellers. We have not only supported their finances but also ensured MSP (Minimum Support Price) for their forest produced. Therefore, our action speaks loudly than whatever is written anywhere and therefore, Modi government is known as tribal’s friend.” He further said, “Therefore, we have taken the decision that not to give any space to misgiving, we are completely withdrawing the so-called ‘draft.’”
