Srinagar, June 24 (ANI): Lalit Kala Akademi or National Academy of Art organised a week-long first installation art camp at Dal Lake in Srinagar. It is a part of three days ‘Vitasta’ cultural festival that is going on in the back lawns of Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference. The aim of the initiative was to promote a new concept of the art form among the art-loving people of the valley. Ten artists from different states of the country including J&K participated in the camp. Artists performed colour painting activities on paper or canvas to showcase their skills. Due to the new technique and innovations, this art camp was witnessed by a large number of people. Participants were very much satisfied and demanded more camps in future for the promotion of this unique artwork. Kashmir has thousands of years of rich cultural history and the valley of Sufis and saints has produced artists who left a mark through their work.
