WHO sets priorities to fight with COVID in 2022

New Delhi, Dec 02 (ANI): WHO has set priorities to fight with COVID-19 in 2022, the third year of pandemic including vaccinations, strengthen the society, primary healthcare. “Most recently Omicron continues to emerge thereby, adding to challenges we are facing. WHO is coordinating with researchers and technical partners to better understand Omicron and the potential impact of this variant. WHO encourages countries to enhance surveillance and sequencing of cases on publicly available databases…In 2022, South-East Asia Region has priorities – accelerating COVID-19 vaccinations towards national targets, etc,” said Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh, Regional Director of South-East Asia at WHO.
