Women in J&K stitch tricolour at centers set up by Indian Army to earn livelihood

Baramulla (J&K), July 03 (ANI): Indian Army started three stitching training centers for women of Gohallan village of Uri block in the Baramulla district of North Kashmir. The purpose of the initiative was to empower women who live near the Line of Control. These centers are providing skills and knowledge to these so that they can earn their own money by stitching clothes. It is part of a larger initiative to promote women’s empowerment and economic independence in the region. This training center expects to have a positive impact on the local community and serve as a model for similar initiatives in other villages. Women of the border village lauded the step taken by the Indian Army.
