More such trains can possibly start as ties between India-Bangladesh are strengthening: Eastern Railway GM

May 29, 2022

Kolkata, May 29 (ANI): As ties between India and Bangladesh are strengthening, more such trains can possibly start, said General Manager of Eastern Railway Arun Arora on May 29. “These two trains were really important trains. Their services had to be suspended due to the COVID pandemic. Since the pandemic is now under control, the Centre decided to resume its services. Today, Maitree Express has started its journey from Dhaka and Bandhan Express from Kolkata. As ties between both counties are strengthening, more such trains can possibly start,” said Arun Arora.
