Chandigarh: South Africa returnee booked for violating home quarantine protocol

Chandigarh, Dec 04 (ANI): Amid rising concerns over Omicron variant of coronavirus, a traveller from South Africa who landed in Chandigarh, has been booked for violating home quarantine protocol, informed Chandigarh Health Secretary Yashpal Garg on December 04. “She had returned on December 1, her RT-PCR report was negative. On December 2, she broke home quarantine protocol and checked into a hotel. Her repeat sampling is due on Dec 8. The local administration has been asked to direct hotels to ask for the 15-day travel history of international travellers,” he added.
