CSR violations will not be treated as criminal offence but civil liabilities: FM Sitharaman

New Delhi, Aug 23 (ANI): Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that from now onwards, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) violations will not be treated as a criminal offence but as civil liabilities. “CSR violations will not be treated as a criminal offence and instead be as civil liabilities. On or after October 01, 2019 all the Income-tax orders, notices, summons, letters, etc. shall be issued through a centralised computer system”, said Nirmala Sitharaman while addressing a press conference in New Delhi.
