Ahmedabad starts penalising offenders littering and spitting in public

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), May 09 (ANI): Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) under cleanliness drive has up the ante against people spitting and littering. Officials are constantly tracking offenders using CCTV cameras. On spot challans and notices have been issued to people urinating, littering and spitting in public. “Ahmedabad was ranked as cleanliness big city of Indian and now we aim to make it cleanest city by surveillance network to penalise and changing behaviour of citizens by finding them and penalise them,” said Municipal Commissioner Vijay Nehra.
