Agnipath scheme: Centre jeopardising youth's future, says Uttarakhand Congress President

Dehradun (Uttarakhand), June 17 (ANI): As protests intensified against the Agnipath scheme in states across the country on June 17, the Congress Committee President of Uttarakhand Karan Mahara slammed the Centre and said they are ‘jeopardising youth’s future’. “Thousands from Uttarakhand are in the military, 60 per cent population here is dependent on pensions from the military. The government is jeopardising the youth's future. The retired youth aware of operating weapons might be assimilated by anarchic elements if they don't get jobs,” said Karan Mahara.
