BNM organises seminar, awareness campaigns in Germany on Baloch Pledge Renewal Day

Frankfurt [Germany], August 12 : The Baloch National Movement (BNM) organised a seminar in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, on Tuesday to mark Baloch Pledge Renewal Day, while awareness campaigns on Balochistan were also conducted in Dusseldorf, Hanover and Bremen.
According to a BNM post on X, the awareness campaigns informed the public about the historical status of Balochistan, key developments following the end of British colonial rule, the Baloch position on Balochistan's accession to Pakistan and the region's current political situation.
Participants also discussed the Baloch nation's demand for Balochistan's independence, as well as the strategic and geopolitical significance of the region.
Addressing the seminar in Frankfurt (Oder), speakers said that August 11 is an important day for the Baloch nation to renew its political commitment, remember the sacrifices made in the struggle for freedom, strengthen national unity and solidarity, and promote political and national consciousness.
The seminar was addressed by Hammal Baloch, member of the BNM Central Committee; Asghar Ali, President of the BNM Germany Chapter; and Mustafa Shahwani.
The speakers discussed the history of Balochistan, the ongoing political struggle for independence and the responsibilities of Baloch living abroad. They also highlighted the importance of preserving historical consciousness, strengthening Baloch national identity and the role of the Baloch diaspora in supporting the national struggle.
During the seminar, a documentary titled "11 August: The Untold Story of Balochistan's Independence, Annexation and Resistance" was screened.
According to the BNM post, the documentary examined Balochistan's history during and after British rule, key events surrounding the declaration of independence, the question of Balochistan's accession to Pakistan, and the resistance and political struggle that emerged in its aftermath.
The seminar concluded with a Balochi tableau based on the poetry of Shaheed Ghulam Mohammad Baloch, described by the BNM as the ideological leader of the Baloch National Movement.
The artistic performance paid tribute to his political legacy while highlighting themes of resistance, sacrifice, national consciousness and commitment to the Baloch national cause.
According to the BNM's post on X, the seminar and awareness campaigns in Germany aimed to raise awareness among European audiences about Balochistan's history, political situation and national struggle, and to draw greater international attention to the issue of Balochistan.
