Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 5 : Expressing confidence in a landslide victory for the NDA in the 2027 Assembly elections, BJP National President Nitin Nabin on Sunday stated that the spirit of service displayed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will ensure the alliance forms the government with a massive majority.
Nitin Nabin, who is on a two-day organisational tour of Uttar Pradesh, met with party office-bearers and NDA alliance partners in Lucknow to set the roadmap for the upcoming electoral battle.
"The BJP completely positions itself in the electoral arena. All the allied parties of the NDA have worked to make Uttar Pradesh an excellent state. With the spirit of service with which Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have worked for the people, I am fully confident that in 2027 we will form the government with a massive majority," Nitin Nabin told reporters.
UP Minister Bhupendra Chaudhary described the visit as an essential organisational exercise where the national president provided directions for the future.
"It is an organisational tour of the national president. In different groups, he has discussed with the party office-bearers and given directions on how we should move forward in the future," he told ANI.
Launching a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP), Chaudhary accused them of practising divisive politics.
Chaudhary added, "The Samajwadi Party's agenda is negative. By dividing society on caste, language, and region, they want to weaken the country."
This sentiment was echoed by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya as well, who asserted that the people of Uttar Pradesh have chosen development over "goon rule" and "dynastic politics".
Speaking to the media after the NDA meeting, Maurya said, "Uttar Pradesh does not want goon rule, mafia rule, riots, or dynastic politics. Uttar Pradesh wants development, good governance, and safety. Therefore, everyone has decided that if the lotus blooms in Uttar Pradesh, the state will flourish like a lotus, and so the people of the state will also bloom like the lotus. If the Samajwadi Party's cycle runs, it will crush and suppress everyone."
Predicting a long exile from power for the opposition, the Deputy CM added, "'Viksit Bharat' means the Samajwadi Party will not even be seen anywhere near power for the next 21 years. The entire leadership, government, and organisation together will repeat 2017 in 2027 and achieve a big victory."
