‘Mangala Gowri’: Malashree to play Mangala, Rukmini Vasanth to be seen as police officer

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], September 15 : Actor Rukmini Vasanth’s next film, titled ‘Mangala Gowri’, was announced on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The makers of the upcoming movie, which also stars Malashree, shared posters introducing the two central characters. Malashree will play Mangala, while Rukmini Vasanth will be seen as Gowri, a police officer. The story is said to follow the two women as their lives come together and take them on an unexpected journey.
Announcing the title on social media, the makers wrote, “Two ordinary women. One extraordinary journey. Mangala and Gowri will meet you at a theatre near you very soon.”

The makers have not shared many details about the story yet. However, the posters suggest that Mangala and Gowri will find themselves on a journey that could take them to Lucknow.
‘Mangala Gowri’ is backed by Hemanth M Rao’s Dakshayani Films and Venkat K Narayan’s KVN Productions. The film also marks another collaboration between Rukmini and Hemanth after the ‘Saptha Sagaradaache Ello’ films.
For Rukmini, the film is also her next project with KVN Productions after ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’.
The technical team includes composer Midhun Mukundhan, cinematographer Srivathsan Selvarajan, editor Vishal Krishnamurthy, production designer Bharath Yuva, and action director Vikram Mor.
Malashree was last seen in ‘Calendar’, while Rukmini was recently seen in ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’. With the film still in production, the makers have now revealed its title and introduced the two women at the centre of the story.
