Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], July 31 : The trailer of M Sasikumar starrer 'Vadhandhi' Season II is finally out, offering a glimpse into a suspenseful investigation thriller which narrates the tale of guilt, secrets, rumours, and redemption.
Created, written, and directed by Andrew Louis, the second season in the franchise stars M. Sasikumar in the lead as SI Moosa Raza, alongside Yashwanth, Anagha Maruthora, Aparna Das, Vivek Prasanna, Revathy Sharma, and Arjun Nandhakumar in pivotal roles.
The two-minute and eleven-second trailer draws audiences into a tense new investigation, with every step towards solving the case uncovering an even darker mystery amid the iconic Jallikattu festival in Madurai.
"Set against the culturally rich backdrop of Madurai, where tradition and investigation collide amid the raw energy of the iconic Jallikattu festival, the story unfolds with the discovery of skeletal remains at the site of a highway project that leads M. Sasikumar's SI Moosa Raza, an honest and relentless police officer, to an elusive prisoner named Mani. But what appears to be a murder investigation soon spirals into something far more unsettling as Moosa sets off in pursuit of the truth, putting him on a collision course with public perception, media frenzy, politics, and human frailties. As he digs deeper, buried secrets begin to surface, setting the stage for a suspenseful tale of guilt, secrets, rumours, and redemption where the truth proves to be far more complicated than it first appears," read the description of the movie as quoted in a press note.

M Sasikumar, who plays the role of SI Moosa Raza, said, "What drew me to Moosa Raza was his unwavering sense of integrity. He's a man who believes that justice is meaningless unless it's built on the truth, even when pursuing it comes at a personal cost. What fascinated me most was exploring the man beneath the badge, his quiet resilience, vulnerability, and the moral dilemmas that constantly test his convictions. Every step of his investigation forces him to confront difficult choices, making this as much an emotional journey as it is a gripping mystery. Working with Andrew Louis, Pushkar, Gayatri, Prime Video, and such a phenomenal cast and crew made the experience incredibly rewarding. I hope audiences connect with Moosa Raza's journey, immerse themselves in unravelling the mystery alongside him, and stay with the story long after the final revelation."
Produced under the banner of Wallwatcher Films by Pushkar and Gayatri as creative producers, the eight-episode series will stream on Amazon Prime Video from August 7.
