Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], September 10 : As Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar completed 100 days in office on Thursday, he reaffirmed his administration's steadfast commitment to the five welfare guarantees, noting that the State government's agenda has transformed lives and built unwavering public confidence.
Addressing the gathering at the 'Drudha Karnatakada Sankalpa' programme, the Chief Minister highlighted the massive numerical impact of the five guarantee schemes: Gruha Jyothi scheme, Gruha Lakshmi scheme, Anna Bhagya scheme, Shakti scheme, and Yuva Nidhi scheme, projecting them as the foundation for Karnataka's future growth and social equity.
"After the government was formed under the leadership of Siddaramaiah, G Parameshwara and I worked on the ideas and commitments in the manifesto. We have the confidence that we have delivered the five guarantees to the people. Under Gruha Lakshmi, women are receiving Rs 2,000. One month’s payment under Gruha Lakshmi is pending. We have entrusted Lakshmi Hebbalkar with the responsibility for the Gruha Lakshmi scheme, KJ George with Gruha Jyothi, and Muniappa with Anna Bhagya. 4.44 crore people are receiving the Anna Bhagya scheme. Shakti scheme has completed 821 crore free bus trips by women. 15,735 crore has been given for this. Congress' strength is this country’s strength. 3.72 lakh youth are receiving the Yuva Nidhi scheme. Rs 1154 crore is spent on this," he said.
Notably, the Shakti scheme offers free bus travel for women across Karnataka. While the Gruha Jyothi scheme offers up to 200 units of free electricity to every household in the State, the Gruha Lakshmi scheme grants a monthly financial assistance of Rs 2000 to the woman head of a family. 
The Anna Bhagya scheme supplies 10 kg of free rice per month to every member of a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family. Yuva Nidh scheme offers a monthly allowance of Rs 3000 for unemployed graduates and Rs 1500 for unemployed diploma holders for up to two years.
Shivakumar further outlined major statutory and administrative pushes targeting job creation and student reservation in rural Karnataka. He said that the ‘Udyoga Sethu’ platform will allow students to register alongside private companies listing their vacancies. The students will be trained as per the requirements of the factories and companies under the leadership of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara and Minister Sharan Prakash Patil.
"We have also introduced a new programme called ‘Udyoga Sethu’. Many young people are looking for employment, and we want to create more employment opportunities, particularly in rural areas and beyond Bengaluru. There is already a government employment exchange, but we are creating a platform where students and job seekers can register, while private companies can also register their requirements. This will act as a bridge between job seekers and employers. Under the leadership of Parameshwara and Sharan Prakash, we will provide the necessary training and skill development. Based on the requirements of companies, factories, and individual units, we will prepare young people with the skills needed for employment," he said.
He added, "Another important decision concerns students studying in government schools. In rural areas, many students depend on government schools for their education. We have decided to provide a 15 per cent reservation for such students. Today’s guarantee is tomorrow’s development."
Shivakumar linked the success of the five guarantees to the broader mandate given by the people of the State. He emphasised that the administration is fully committed to bringing visible change to every household.
“I am not driving this chariot (the government) alone. This is the government of the people of Karnataka. We value the trust that you have placed in us. We are thinking of ways to bring visible change to every household. Karnataka is moving forward on the path towards a century of progress. We are committed to taking the state forward on the path of development. The dreams of the youth and the vision of a strong Karnataka are our goals," he said. 
Shivakumar took charge of the office on June 3 after rounds of deliberations within Congress over leadership change in Karnataka.
