Chiming in further, Nia Long shared, "Portraying Katherine Jackson reminded me that grace is quiet and still, and tonight we honour that. Jaafar, it was an honour watching you transform into your uncle right before our eyes."
Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the Michael Jackson biopic titled 'Michael' shows Jackson portraying his uncle. The film became a big hit, recently even becoming the highest-grossing biopic of all time.
The Michael Jackson biopic has surpassed Christopher Nolan's 'Oppenheimer' to reach the milestone.
'Michael' has already ranked as the biggest musical biopic of all time, crossing 2018's 'Bohemian Rhapsody', which earned USD 911 million worldwide.
While Jackson stepped in as the King of Pop, Colman Domingo and Nia Long were seen as parents Joe and Katherine.
Besides Jackson and Long, 'Michael' also features actors Colman Domingo, Miles Teller, KeiLyn Durrel Jones, Lauren Harrier, Joseph David-Jones, Rhyan Hill, Jamal R Henderson, Tre Horton, Jessica Sula, Mike Myers, and Kendrick Sampson, among others.
According to the film's official description, Michael offers an "honest portrayal of the brilliant yet complicated" music icon. The story concludes in 1988, focusing on Jackson's rise to global superstardom and not covering the allegations that emerged in later years, as stated by People.
