In a landmark move to empower young girls through education, the Gujarat government has launched two ambitious scholarship schemes—Namo Lakshmi and Namo Saraswati Vigyan Sadhana. These initiatives aim to eliminate financial barriers that prevent girls across the state from accessing quality education and realizing their full potential. Announced in the 2024-25 state budget for the education sector, the Namo Lakshmi Scheme provides financial assistance of ₹50,000 over four years to girls from Class 9 to Class 12.
