Akhilesh Yadav to pay tribute to late Ram Govind Chaudhary during Ballia visit on Oct 9

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 8 : Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will visit Ballia and Deoria on October 9 to pay tribute to two deceased party leaders, Ram Govind Chaudhary and Suresh Yadav, and offer condolences to their families.
According to the official statement, Yadav will leave Amausi Airport in Lucknow at 10 am and reach Azamgarh Airport at 11 am, from where he will leave for Ballia.
At 1 pm, he will depart by car from the helipad site at Chetan Kishore Maidan in Sikanderpur, Ballia, and reach Gosaipur village at 1:15 pm.
He will pay tribute to the late Chaudhary, former Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, and offer condolences to his family.
Yadav will leave Gosaipur at 1:45 pm and reach the helipad site at Chetan Kishore Maidan at 2 pm. He will depart by private helicopter at 2:15 pm for Deoria.
At 2:45 pm, Yadav will reach the helipad and programme venue at Darshan Inter College in Rakhsa village, under the Lar police station area of Deoria, where he will pay tribute to the late Yadav, former MLA and former district president of Deoria, and offer condolences to his family.
Chaudhary, a veteran socialist leader, had been unwell for some time and breathed his last while undergoing treatment at SGPGIMS in Lucknow on September 26, Friday.
Born on July 9, 1953, in Gosaipur, Ballia, Chaudhary was regarded as one of the prominent leaders of the socialist movement and a link between the Samajwadi Party and the traditions of leaders like Jayaprakash Narayan and Ram Manohar Lohia.
He served as a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly for eight terms. From 1977 to 1992, he represented the Chilkahar constituency in Ballia, and later represented the Bansdih Assembly seat from 2002 as a Samajwadi Party MLA.
Chaudhary served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 2017 to 2022.
