Bhopal Police, Social Justice Department organise 'Run for Life' marathon to spread anti-drug message

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 26 : The Bhopal Commissionerate organised an anti-drug marathon under the 'Run for Life - Staying Away from Drugs is Essential 2.0' campaign at TT Nagar Stadium on Sunday, with officials urging people to stay away from drugs and highlighting their harmful impact on individuals and families.

Additional Commissioner of Police (HQ and Crime) Monika Shukla said that both society and the police have a responsibility to eliminate drug abuse and ensure a healthy future for people across generations.
"This is the responsibility of society as well as the police that whether it is a new or old generation, we have to eliminate all such drugs so that we can remain healthy," Shukla told reporters.
Furthermore, Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Narcotics wing, D Srinivas Varma said the marathon was jointly organised by the Madhya Pradesh Police and the Social Justice Department under the 'Nashe se doori hai zaroor 2.0' campaign.
"Today, the Madhya Pradesh Police and the Social Justice Department have jointly organised the marathon under the banner of the 'Nashe se doori hai zaroor 2.0' campaign at the TT Nagar Stadium. Through this, we want to convey the message to every person in Madhya Pradesh: stay away from drugs, enjoy life, and say no to drugs," Varma said.
He further highlighted the serious consequences of drug addiction, saying, "Drug addiction is such a serious disease that it ruins people and families, and makes lives miserable."
The marathon was organised to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and encourage people to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.
