New Delhi [India], April 19 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday expressed his grief at the death of former Rajya Sabha MP Balbir Punj, calling him a "prolific writer, thinker and public intellectual" who made a rich contribution to the world of media.

Om Shanti," PM Modi said in a post on X.
Born on 2 October, 1949, Balbir Punj began his career as a journalist in 1971 with the newspaper The Motherland.
