Medchal-Malkajgiri (Telangana) [India], June 30 : Telangana BJP spokesperson NV Subash on Tuesday said the three-day visit of BJP national president Nitin Nabin to Telangana reflects the party leadership's strong focus on the state's development.
He said that the visit has created "jitters" within the ruling Congress and the BRS.
Speaking to ANI, Subhash said, "The 3-day tour has been sending jitters to Congress as well as BRS. No president of the National Party has spent so much time, almost 72 hours...this shows that how the BJP leadership is focusing on the development of Telangana..."
Further, BJP MP Raghunandan Rao Madhavaneni said the visit of Nabin to Telangana has boosted the morale of party workers ahead of the upcoming elections.
He added that the leadership was encouraging self-correction and reinforcing the party's motto of "nation first, party next, individuals last."
"It is encouraging the workers to move towards the forthcoming elections of the state as well as the central government elections...he is motivating us, and he is pointing out if there is something wrong. He is telling us to correct ourselves...nation first, party next, individuals last, that is our motto," Madhavaneni said.
A day earlier, Nabin offered prayers at the revered Bhadrakali Mata Temple in Warangal during his visit to Telangana.
Nabin was accompanied by Telangana BJP President Ramchander Rao and other senior party leaders.
After offering prayers, Nabin said he prayed for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of Telangana and sought the blessings of Goddess Bhadrakali for the well-being of the entire nation.
"I pray for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the people of Telangana. May the people of Telangana and the entire nation continue to receive the blessings of Mother Bhadrakali, the source of power for the entire universe," Nabin said.
The BJP leader also underlined the party's commitment to preserving and developing centres of cultural and spiritual importance across the country. He said the party was determined to promote the historic Bhadrakali temple and enhance its significance as an important place of faith.
"Just as we are developing centres of cultural heritage and faith across the country, we are firmly resolved to develop and uplift this sacred site in Warangal. May the blessings of Mother Bhadrakali continue to be showered upon the people of Telangana and the entire nation," he added.
Nabin's visit to the temple comes as part of his outreach programme in Telangana, where the BJP has been intensifying its organisational activities ahead of future electoral contests.
