Aug 24, 2026
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 24 : Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will acquire 100 per cent of Porsche AG's Germany-based management and IT consulting subsidiary MHP as part of a strategic partnership that also includes a five-year deal with the German automaker, the Indian IT major said on Monday.
The proposed acquisition and partnership are subject to regulatory approvals, TCS said in a press release. The company did not disclose the financial terms of the acquisition or the value of the five-year deal.
MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH, headquartered in Ludwigsburg, Germany, has around 4,500 employees worldwide and provides management and IT consulting services. Its areas of expertise include artificial intelligence, business transformation, SAP, manufacturing digitalisation and connected mobility.
TCS said the acquisition would strengthen its presence in Germany and expand its reach among automotive and industrial customers in Europe.
As part of the wider partnership, TCS will also establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche, which will work on deploying artificial intelligence across manufacturing, engineering, operations and customer experience.
The centre will focus on converting AI use cases into secure and scalable solutions for Porsche and embedding the technology across the automaker's product and value chain.
"TCS is pleased to partner Porsche in its transformation journey. As AI, software, and data redefine the automotive industry, this partnership brings together TCS' capabilities in AI, engineering, technology and business transformation with MHP's strong automotive consulting expertise," TCS CEO and Managing Director K Krithivasan said.
He added that the companies would work together to "industrialize AI at scale for Porsche" and accelerate innovation across its value chain.
Porsche AG CEO Dr Michael Leiters said the transfer of MHP to TCS was part of the automaker's strategy to focus on its core business, while TCS would become a strategic partner.
"By combining Porsche's automotive expertise with TCS' digital technology and AI capabilities, we will further strengthen our innovative power, increase efficiency, and boost our competitiveness in an increasingly data and software-driven world of mobility," Leiters said.
The five-year strategic deal is aimed at providing a foundation for TCS and Porsche to scale AI-led transformation across Porsche's organisation and mobility ecosystem.
TCS generated consolidated revenues of over USD 30 billion in the financial year ended March 31, 2026 and has operations across 55 countries, according to the company.
Deutsche Bank AG acted as financial adviser and Noerr as legal counsel to TCS for the transaction.
