Telangana: Atleast 7 shops destroyed in massive fire behind Musi River in Chadarghat

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 10 : A massive blaze has destroyed atleast seven shops, including car repair units and decorative stores, in Hyderabad's Chadarghat locality behind the Musi River. Emergency crews successfully extinguished the fire nearly an hour after the incident took place.
Following the incident, which caused significant property damage but resulted in zero injuries or casualties, officials requested that the public avoid spreading unverified information while the site remains under police monitoring. Atleast 7 fire tenders had been deployed to the spot to control the blaze.
DCP South Zone Khare Kiran said, "There was a fire accident reported in Chadarghat, behind the Musi River. Around 4:30 PM, we recieved a call and the fire department as well as the police rushed to the spot and began diffusing the fire. Prima facie, almost seven shops have been gutted in fire. These include car repair shops and shops that sell decoratives. The fire has been controlled. No casualties have been reported. Almost seven fire engines are at the spot. If required, we will call for more fire engines."
"I request not spread any false news. The police will conduct a thorough investigation behind the cause of the fire. We will also make sure such incidents do not occur again in Hyderabad," DCP South Zone added.
The DCP noted, "The police received information about a fire accident at around 4:30 PM. Immediately, the police and the fire department took action and called the fire engines. For the last hour, efforts have been ongoing to control the fire...In this fire accident, around seven shops have been completely burnt. Most of these were car repair shops, along with one shop dealing in decorative items used for function halls. The fire is now under control..."
Earlier this week, in a separate incident, a massive fire broke out on the third floor of the Nampally criminal court building, triggering panic among people who were present on the premises, said a fire official.
According to officials, upon receiving the incident, two fire tenders reached the spot and brought the flames under control. The cause of the fire is yet to be known.
In another fire incident, three people died after a fire broke out in a house in the Kalakawada area of Miryalguda, Telangana, following a cylinder explosion late on Thursday night, officials said.
According to a fire department official, information about the blaze was received at around 12:30 am, following which a fire engine was rushed to the spot.
"Last night around 12.30, we received information that a fire had broken out in a house in Kalakawada, Miryalguda. One fire engine reached the spot and brought the fire under control. Three people lost their lives following a cylinder explosion. We are investigating the matter. The bodies have been shifted for a post-mortem. The deceased are an elderly woman, a girl, and a boy. We will provide more details after the investigation is complete," the fire official said.
Earlier, a massive blaze erupted at a commercial helmet bazaar in the Ameerpet area of Hyderabad on Friday. Firefighting teams were rushed to the spot to prevent the flames from spreading nearby. The Hyderabad police confirmed that casualties had been reported so far.
A fire official from Hyderabad said, "A fire broke out at a helmet bazaar in Ameerpet, Hyderabad. Seven fire engines reached the spot and controlled the fire. There are no casualties reported so far."
