New Delhi [India], September 15 : As part of ongoing efforts to make Delhi clean, beautiful and green, Delhi Deputy Mayor Monica Pant on Tuesday inspected Nehru Nagar in Ward No. 144 of the South-East Zone under the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ‘Delhi Free from Garbage’ campaign launched by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. 

During the inspection, she reviewed the sanitation arrangements, parks, lanes, and civic amenities in the area and issued necessary directions to the concerned officials.
During the inspection, the Deputy Mayor also visited the Municipal Primary School, Ayushman Arogya Mandir, and parks in the area. She directed the officials to further improve cleanliness and sanitation arrangements and ensure that residents do not face any inconvenience.
While inspecting the damaged lanes in the area, Monica Pant directed the concerned officials to complete the repair work on the damaged lanes at the earliest. She said that there should be no negligence in works related to the basic civic amenities of residents.

The Deputy Mayor also conducted a surprise inspection of the Ayushman Arogya Mandir. She interacted with patients visiting the facility for treatment and enquired about the healthcare facilities and services available there.
She also sought information from the concerned staff regarding registers related to patients and medicines and reviewed the overall arrangements.
During her inspection of the parks, she assessed the cleanliness and maintenance conditions. She also directed the concerned officials to undertake the necessary pruning of tree branches extending towards nearby houses and pathways at the earliest, so that residents do not face any inconvenience while commuting.

Area Councillor Arjun Pal Singh Marwah, Deputy Commissioner of the South-East Zone Sachin Gupta, along with senior officials and employees of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, were present on the occasion.
Deputy Mayor Monica Pant said that making Delhi clean, beautiful, and green is a priority of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. She directed the officials to ensure regular monitoring of sanitation, civic amenities, and maintenance-related works and to resolve public grievances on a priority basis.
